I was lucky enough to win a 2-night stay with dinner, bed, and breakfast at Hotel Du Vin. While the room decor was charming, the air conditioning issues and inadequate amenities were disappointing. Breakfast struggled to impress, but the location was convenient for exploring York’s landmarks. Despite the challenges, the staff were friendly, and we appreciated the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel.

Plentiful and delicious breakfast, functional deluxe room. A great selection of facilities such as: a mini bar, a coffeemaker, and big windows. Magnificent central location, not far from tourist attractions as well as many pubs/bars and restaurants along the way. Outstanding food in the a la carte restaurant in the vicinity.

The hotel features immaculate decor and has a cozy atmosphere that really adds to the experience. My room was spacious and equipped with a comfortable bed, and I loved the a Nespresso machine and high-quality toiletries. The bar and restaurant areas were inviting, and I appreciated the friendly staff who were always eager to help.
The breakfast experience was a letdown. 😕.

We found the hotel very comfortable, the service excellent and the food top quality. The hotel styling was chic and modern whilst creating a real sense of home from home. Overall very relaxing and left with the feeling of having had a special treat.
We stayed on a very hot weekend and the air conditioning really could not cope. Our room at times was unbearably hot. Also a little more attention should have been paid to positioning and the number of powerpoints. I had to unplug the coffee maker or kettle to plug in the hair dryer and it was possible to unplug the minibar fridge (concealed in the wardrobe) by mistake.

It was new-fashioned, bigger then in most York hotels. The breakfast with soup and beans, for example was sensational for what you got. The property was set in a good area. Was a good choice for xmas.

Hotel was lovely and beautiful decor. Staff were very friendly and attentive at all times.Bathroom and bedroom were stunning and very comfortable bed.
On arrival, noticed that the top bedsheet was not cleaned properly. However, staff were brilliant as offered to change rooms which we felt was not necessary and gave us a free bottle of wine.

I had a fantastic stay at hotel du vin. From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel welcome, especially Ripley and Jade. The room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the amazing shower. The atmosphere was charming, and dining was a pleasure with delicious food options. The bistro, which has been beautifully furnished, was a highlight, and the parking was conveniently available for a reasonable fee.
Not one thing! 😊.

Everything. There were seven of us and we had a meal in an almost private part of the restaurant. The meal was excellent and the staff perfect, particularly james the cocktail waiter.
